I have a 4s as I mentioned above and I am experiencing a weird issue that I need some advice with.
I noticed a few days ago all of my music that I had on my phone had disappeared. I restarted my phone and the songs now show up but each of them needs to be downloaded again, one by one. I connected to my computer thinking that would fix the problem but it didn't.
Any advice is appreciated. I have also had it happen to my contacts before but after restarting they reappeared.
Difficult to know why, because of computers, and iTunes.
Have you been updating iTunes regularly?
Is the phone connected to the cloud?
Here is some general thoughts as I see it.
Open your iTunes, and if you haven't, update it to the latest version.
Next, if you don't find your music in your library, look under my music, and find your iTunes folder and cync it back to your iTunes, or put it there.
Maybe it is mess up for some reason, so look in there to see if the music and all it correct.
You'll know the folderin the iTunes folder, if not click them all on until you find your music.
If that folder is messed up for some reason, delete it and start fresh, because your new iTunes version should have all the stuff you got from iTunes, and the rest should be on your computer where you keep it.
Once you've got that library like you want it, cync the phone.
That is just general, whithout me knowing all the facts.
